Where to get paint and painting gear?

Where to get paint and painting gear?

Postby Expat in Quesada » Sat Oct 29, 2022 7:32 am

Hi there,

If I were back home, I would head straight for Screwfix as they have a good selection of accessories, paint, rollers etc. Can anyone recommend somewhere in or near Quesada?

I need paint, rollers, brushes, pole, dropsheets etc.

Many thanks.

Any ferreteria will stock all that. We always go to the one in Lo Marabu.
Quesada Colours next to Quesada Fish & Chips most helpful in telling you the type of paint you need, he also mixes customised colours and stocks brushes rollers etc.
Have a look around the chino’s they have everything you need, it’s up to you to decide whether the quality is want you want. However I would steer clear of buying paint from them.

Brochacolour in Formentera by Lumsden auctions or Leroy Merlin in Torrevieja (similar to B&A back home)

I would always go to a paint shop, where you can ask questions and get advice on the job you want to undertake. Leroy Merlin is fine but you are asking a 20 yr old for advice and they have probably never used a paint brush in their lives.

I went to James by Quesada fish and chips and he nearly talked my ear off!!
He didn’t have the type of paint I needed either, and said I should go to Mercia to get it!!?

I made paint for over 15 years and this guy is all about money, of course he’s helpful! That’s his job! But take a pair of ear miffs with you if you do go there…

Don't buy brushes or rollers from China's, they are rubbish!
