Pump Track in La Siesta

I am 81 and haven’t a clue what a pump track is, please enlighten.

A pump track is a type of cycling track consisting of a circuit of bumps and turns that allow cyclists to ride without pedalling. Cyclists use a pumping motion and shift their weight on the bike to propel themselves through the course.

People will cycle there to use it, plus youve got the torretas thats full of families. I live opposite a very small children's playground with a basketball court and it's amazing how well it's used, and they come from quite a distance some of them. Sounds like the new parks going to be very nice

The Pump Track is not meant for just the area it is built in. It is an international standards track which I am sure will have competitions and teams training there. I thought it very apt that the hospital is across the road from it. To cater for the injured

I'm an 80's BMX competition rider and at 55 I'd still use a BMX/pump track. In fact, when I moved over last year I sold my 2 remaining BMX bikes. It's an Olympic sport now so it's there for everyone.

The post was a bit tongue in cheek, there is always going to be older people who still enjoy the sport, and I'm sure the residents in the area are please to see the land which was a eyesore tidy up
