Covid fine

My husband was fined €601 during covid for going to Aldis as nothing left in our nearest super market, In January we got a letter saying it was going to be refunded and got a woman in the town hall to do the paper work for us so far nothing has this happened to anyone else?

You've not heard of anyone being fined my friend got fined the same for going to the chemist for her husbands medication, we were 6 days into covid we were fined €601, lawyer said I've got a few of them and think 75% i can win,but if I don't you'd have €300 to pay me and your €601 fine so we payed €300.50c as if you pay it within a certain time you get it half price.

It frightens me how people can become power crazy and from what I’ve heard, life was hell in Spain during lockdown. I’m appalled to hear that someone was fined for going to a chemist or to get food. That’s a hefty fine too. Dreadful. You must have been traumatised by the experience as well as being made to pay such a ridiculously high amount of money for doing nothing unlawful.
I hope you are reimbursed and also receive an apology.

I know lots of people fined during those times. Especially if not using nearest supermarket and having a passenger in the car. My grandson was born during it. My son couldn’t be there for the birth .. I took him to hospital 3 times on last time he was allowed in. Thankfully no problems then. Coming home from dropping him off early hours of the morning not a car on n332 only me. Got pulled over. Thankfully no fine. It was strict and crazy. My son was my mothers carer at the time. He used to walk to my house he got stopped and questioned. He used to carry his work contract with him…
