PROBLEMS WITH WISE ACCOUNT

PROBLEMS WITH WISE ACCOUNT

Postby prefect » Mon Apr 10, 2023 12:01 pm

I am at present using WISE for transferring certain banking items. I am not happy with the
way certain items have recently been dealt with.
Can I draw on the wisdom of members of this Forum to discover what other companies are
available to provide facilities similar to banking.
It would be an extra bonus if there was a local office one could visit to discuss and/or arrange facilities

I have certainly had problems transferring monies from my Caixia account to wise as the atm will not move the Es to be so you have to make an appointment then go into the bank, it’s a pain.

Agree with the above, using the apps I've transfered monies from Caixa to Wise, and vice-versa, countless times and never ever a problem.

Can't imagine attempting it on a Caxia ATM, why would you want to do that?

For certain whatever's going wrong for you won't be the fault of Wise.

I use wise for what I believe to be one of the best rates, to transfer in to get euros, then transfer enough euros of what I need to a spanish bank account. The account I have offers fee free banking, along with all the other benefits of a bank with offices, bank card, set up DD’s etc... just as an account does in the U.K.

No one on here knows your financial requirements, so Suggest you visit a couple of different named banks offices, local to you, and ask them what they can offer you, pick one you like, open it, and transfer your Wise cash, simple as that. Good luck

It would be interesting to know what problems you have had with Wise I have been using for several years and have never had any issues literally transferring thousands of euros and now getting interest on the balance. Great service.

Never had a problem with Wise in years of using them. Via the App takes seconds to transfer money. Only on one occasion did it take about three hours. My guess is they may do random checks on transactions very occasionally to check their legality and guard against money laundering.

Just one thing. Technically Wise is not a bank, so money is not protected by the Deposit Protection scheme. So it may not be sensible not to leave large amounts in Wise. But I have never had a problem and there is some level of protection.
