Anyone help tiring to watch BBC iPlayer on fire stick with a VPN block on (UK) getting code 06022. I've clean the cache and data but still get code

Have you tried logging out of the vpn then logging back in again,you usually get a different server in UK ,that often resolves it for us on Nord vpn. Good luck.

If your TV is a Samsung there is a problem getting it to play iPlayer on certain models

You'll need a better vpn

Samsung TV + Firestick + SmartDNSproxy, no problems.

Most modern Samsung TVs run the bastardised quazi Android 'Tizen' OS under which only apps in their 'walled garden' are available and certainly on my Samsung iPlayer is not amongst them.

If on an external device I don't quite see how the TV itself can be a factor, how does that work?

I have a firestick with Nordvpn and get BBC iPlayer without any problems. Have you tried "Settings" "Reset", if so, you might need to "restore factory defaults" and reload your apps. Hope this helps, with kind regards
