I renewed my Spanish licence on the 14th October 2021 and its valid till the 21st October 2026.
I was 74 in 2021 so my licence was valid for 5 years not 2 years.

This is new thing which was reported on here just a few days ago. Those over 70 will now need to renew their licence every 2 years and undergo the medical examination. This is from March this year.

Those with a licence with a run out date longer than 2 years will not be affected but next time you renew the licence it will only be for 2 years.

Up until this year, all over 65 renewals were for 5 years.

Well I hope they were wrong. Been picked up by other press outlets as well.
2 years seemed a heck of a drop and oldies would be hit with more medical fees.
Pain in the butt every 5 years let alone every 2.

If N332 got it wrong (rumour control?) then they should remove the web page.

Which was 6 months before N332 announced the change. Said several times that licences renewed before the date would not be affected even if N332 were correct.
