Maybe a good idea to review driving licenses more frequently after 65. (BTW I'm 65)

You know the driver was old, and how old, how?
It's easy to generalise however one impaired aged driver does not a population of them make but if at age 65 you think your own driving abilities may not be up to standard then by all means give it up or get yourself retested.
Renewals have already been reduced to 2 years for over 70's BTW.

5 years from age 65 and 2 years from age 70. How more frequently do you want?

Local Spanish newspaper INFORMATION says it can confirm, that one of them, driven by a 76-year-old man, was driving in the opposite direction to the direction of travel after having accessed the highway from a roundabout popularly known as “the one with the monolith” on the border of the province of Alicante with the Region of Murcia.

Hopefully they jail the driver, simply no excuse for doing this.
