Romanians in Lemon Tree Market

Romanians in Lemon Tree Market

Postby Tonbar » Sun Apr 30, 2023 11:15 am

Word of warning. A Romanian girl in her twenties approached me on Sunday in the carpark. She tried to touch my arm and received a loud verbal warning. My wife had her necklace stolen a few weeks ago outside our house. Don't trust these people.

The markets are their favourite haunts. They have it off to a T. They usually hunt in groups tipping one another off with likely victims and moving in when the time is right. At least this time you were well prepared. I saw an exhibition once of their carry on in La Mata market when they were cornered by plain clothes detectives. The wailing and screeching was something to behold. It was like watching a tug of war. They had grabbed their children and were using them as a front against the Police. But the detectives were not letting go and handcuffed them and marched them off. No doubt they were back out a couple of hours later.

I wish I could do that. To tell the nationalty just by looking at them would be a great talent for boarder guards..

For me I can't tell Romanians from Bulgarians or Albanians, Georgians, or Serbo Croats.....

I took it from the posters previous post that they meant Romany, as in Gypsy, which are quite distinctive and recognisable across all borders.

Looked more like he was referring to people from Romania, not Romany people who are a different cohort entirely.

Agree Bee where we live there's a gypsy village about a 30 minute walk away and we've been approached several times asking if we would sell Asbo for dog fighting!!
