Marcos Automation - Peugeot Torrevieja .. Israel in the sales department, speaks great English, will advise you what you can and can’t do. If you don’t want a Peugeot they are dealers for other cars or you can get the info and look elsewhere at other cars. Good luck..

We bought a new car 4 years ago. While there we saw several Spanish people filling in forms for finance so I asked if finance was available to non residents. The answer was NO. Didn’t matter as we didn’t actually want finance but I was curious to know.
A couple of years ago, my husband withdrew €300 from the ATM A few options came up on the ATM screen and not understanding a word of it, he unwittingly opted for borrowing the money over a period of 10 months. Over the next few months, he couldn’t understand why the bank kept taking .€30 out of his account. A visit to the bank cleared this up but I told the manager that I understood that non residents couldn’t borrow money. Not true, he said. They’d give us money to buy large electrical appliances and we could repay over a fixed term. That being the case , maybe the bank would lend you the money. It’s worth enquiring. They can only say yes or no.

And it is always a smart move to buy a Dacia. Best value on the market.

As long as you have an NIE, a fixed address and proof of it, then yes, you can purchase just about anything as a non resident.

We had all of those things but it was 4 years ago. We couldn’t use our credit card. We had to contact our bank at home and arrange that we could withdraw all the money using our debit card. Think we’d already paid a deposit of €3,000 the week before.
Strangely enough, we bought a special edition Dacia Stepway and are delighted with it. The price is now over €18,000 for a new one but that is still a good price for a new car.
Good luck with you choice and purchase.
