Without quoting the region that statement itself means nothing.

101 will always be BBC1 but which region will be dependent on the post code you put in.

That's the whole problem, the changes mean that some BBC regions are no longer receivable so if you've lost yours a rescan may well fix nothing and you may have to use a different post code to get it back.

BBC East and some London post codes seem to yeild best results.

That's interesting Jpeg. My LNB was replaced with a new Quad high gain one. It actually made things worse - first noticed that when I did a blind scan it picked up far fewer channels. I've since been advised that with a new LNB, the dish probably needed a realignment. The engineer is due to come back so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I use a Freesat box and it is not a requirement to put a postcode in you can skip it

True but what region does that give you by default, London I would guess?

If you have internet connection, get a firestick.
When the weather is bad our sky box used to pixilate and stop providing any viewing whatsoever. A few years ago, Easter was a total washout and we went online and signed up with Netflix. Salvation. Watched back to back series for days on end when we couldn’t venture out. Finished watching THE DIPLOMAT the other day. Absolutely wonderful series. It’s the only way to go. Cable TV.

Bit like the illegal TV re-broadcasts that were shut down over 10 years ago.

I guess if the clampdown comes, then people will watch Spanish TV.

You can always use Freesat if you have a dish and receiver box

It is totally legal to view free to air, unencrypted, satellite TV channels directly from the satellite.

I have a Humax freesat box and a 1.4m dish. I suspect the dish is not big enough now. Strange thing is when I returned to Spain last week BBC was only pixilated at times and I was able to record. In trying to improve it with an automatic re-scan, it wiped out BBC altogether. Even changing postcode to London instead of North east there was nothing, yet earlier on BBC London I could pick up something. In desperation tried a manual re scan and all the channels were numbered 5000 + and got some very broken pixilated BBC and no programmes showing up on the Guide to see what's on. Did automatic re-scan again and at least I can get non HD stations with their correct numbers, All a mystery.
