Birds in chimney

Birds in chimney

Postby PaulS » Sat May 27, 2023 8:50 am

Looking for handyman or similar to put grilles/mesh on chimney to prevent birds nesting. Access to pitched, tiled roof around 20 feet above ground level.
Something I would have tackled in the past but no longer physically able unfortunately.

Do you have a wood burner ?
Reason I’m asking is the company who installed my original wood burner put mesh up for us.
Company was Amberfugo, Los Montesinos.

If no joy try Warren, Budget Burners, La Marina which I’m sure will oblige.

Worth a try.

Please be careful

I put mesh up and the mesh got covered in soot eventually blocking the flue

I had the same problem. Budget burners sorted it out by putting metal mesh around the chimney and removed the plastic mesh that had been on previously but hadn’t been removed when the chimney was swept!
