Chupinazo (water fight) & mascleta Sunday 11th June

The Chupinazo will be on June 11th officially starting the month of fiestas.
At 11.30 parade into the square and chupinazo rocket at 12.30
Be prepared to get wet - townhall advise wearing swimwear - and assemble in the town centre where the great water pistol fight will take place.
They place great tubs of water & throw water pistols into the crowd, whilst also being quite liberal with a hose.
Free hats are also distributed at the door of the museum and there's free beer too at a beer tent.
Various councillors go onto the balcony of the museum and one will light the
chupinazo- the celebration rocket - & there'll be confetti etc.
Then the mayor throws out giant beach balls too for folk to throw round.
Then at 2.15 pm attention is drawn to the Malecon del Soto for the mazcleta - probably best seen from the other side of the river - which is the loud day-time 'firework' display.

This is great fun, thoroughly recommended and definitely should not be missed
