Problem electric gate motor

Have an intermittent problem with our gate motor.
It’s only just over 2 yrs old.
Some days it won’t open - closing no problem.
Key fobs ok
Cleaned it, moved the plate a bit etc .
Appreciate any advise

I believe the heat expands the gate and that jams the cogs. Put your gate in manual and leave it open around 1/4 - 1/2 inch, then adjust the motor stop spring to suit. You may have to reverse this procedure in the winter, or you will have too big a gap when the gate stops closing.

I have a similar problem with the heat, not with a motorised garage door but the white UPVC door at the front of the house
The bottom of the panel keeps dropping out of its slot on very hot days like today and yesterday and also it expands so much i cannot close it properly , i have to lift up the handle with great force and slam it shut
I think i can solve the problem of bottom of the door falling down, i will buy a white silicon sealer from leroy merlin and try to secure the panel in place this way
But i have no idea how to solve the shutting problem ?
If it was wood i would shave some off the sides to make the door narrower , but it is aluminium white powder coated, i think
We have a dog so i need the front door secure as it leads straight to a busy road
Any suggestions much appreciated
