Worldwide phone SIM

Postby amurny » Thu Jun 15, 2023 4:33 pm

Hi

Does anyone frequently travel worldwide from Spain that can recommend a good SIM card that will connect in the majority of countries?

Thanks

I am interested in responses to this too as I am not sure of a good Spanish SIM for this. I have retained a UK SIM with EE for when I travel from Spain. We returned from a round the world trip in April after 3 months. For just £11 per month I could roam in North America (Mexico, USA and Canada) and also Australia/New Zealand. EU countries are included in my contract. Elsewhere I used wifi only. British friends that were with us had a UK Vodafone contract where they paid £5 per day on the days they used it and it worked in all the other countries we went to too, in Asia, the Middle East etc. Hopefully someone knows of a good Spanish SIM, but it may be an option for you to do it via a UK SIM.

Lebara and their international package. Great coverage and excellent pricing.

I contacted their customer service to ask about worldwide tariffs and this was their response:

"Regarding your inquiry, we would like to inform you that the roaming services outside of zone 1 countries (UK / Europe) are charged.

We do not have tariffs that include these costs.

For any other query you can contact us via email at [email protected] or phone call on 900 696 073. Lines open 365 days 10am-8pm."

I'm finding it difficult to get the necessary information from the lebara.es website. Do you have a Spanish number? Are you using it to roam worldwide (i.e. not just EU/UK and not just making international calls from Spain)? If so, can you tell me the exact name of the package or give me a link so I can read more about it please? How much do you pay per month (SIM only)?

You can get all the info from the Lebara UK website. The Lebara.es website is also in English.

Thank you. I could see that, but I'm looking for worldwide roaming from a Spanish number, not just international calls.
