Healthy plant?

Postby Mac davies » Sat Jun 17, 2023 1:00 pm

Hi can anyone tell me what’s this attached to my soap aloe plant?
I have the plant identification app on my phone and when I took a picture of it it said it was a lasia plant???

TIA

Could be rust disease which is a specialized group of fungi called the rust fungi. If so treatment = Remove and destroy all leaves and plant parts affected by the rust. You might actually have to destroy a badly infected plant completely to prevent it infecting other plants of the same species if you have any.

First though I would try to spray it with a suitable rust control product containing fungicide, repeating as recommended to see if this helps clear b4 trying above. Hope helps

Yeah I googled this earlier, I think I’m just going to get rid of the plant, shame really as it was a lovely looking thing before this, but very mindful of more contamination with our other plants.
