How can you have a guarantee if you don't have an invoice, if you decide to accept the offer, don't pay in cash, tell them you will pay via bank transfer, if they don't like that then I would tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine, you have to have some proof that you paid them for a job.

When purchasing DIY materials from Leroy Merlin or similar are the shown prices inclusive of tax or do you get tax added at the checkouts

IVA is included for Joe public, as a business they can get an invoice which shows what IVA was paid, that way they can claim against profit, that's if they actually put it through their books in the first place

Leyroy & similar inc.tax in prices ,wholesale places usually plus Iva.Try the diy place behind Autos Direct at San Miguel,good selection & prices,also ask for discount,we did & got a good price.

My husband still laughs. We opened a void and created another shower room. I went to Terrapilar and ordered scree and everything else I was told to get. I then asked for DESQUENTO and got it. I didn’t realise that I could have asked for discount when ordering the sanitary ware but did get it when I bought all the tiles
Doubt you’d get it from Leroy Merlin but definitely try the local building firms.
I should add that we always buy any white goods from the old Reder on the Avenue de Valencia and invariably I get discount. ( purchased are all on the computer)Ask or you won’t get it.

I've questioned the 30% extra if I want an invoice and not pay cash. Been told it's 21%VAT and 10% incoming tax. Is that correct, do all companies add that on ?

Personally if I was having a big priced job done, I wouldn't want it done on the black.
