If you are registered with the Spanish health service then go to your doctor and get a referral to the Eye Clinic in Torrevieja town centre

Told I had one in one eye, but thought I can see ok why bother. Then had it done, was amazed at how straight forward the op was, half an hour having drops in my eye followed by just 5 minutes keeping still while they did the op.
I cannot believe the difference, everything is now sooo crystal clear and colourful, it’s like living inside a cartoon. So if you’ve been told you have cataracts, recommend you have them done.

Look, I know this is a controversial thing I am going to say but can I ask you two questions?

(1) Are you overweight?
(2) Do you make fruits and vegetables a large part of your regular meals?

Diet has such a huge impact on eye health, and cataracts specifically. By all means look for medications that may help you but the best advice you could ever get comes from Hippocrates who was the grandfather of medicine.

Hippocrates was a medical doctor that believed we all have the tools within us to live a long and disease free life. The best doctors do not dispense medicine's and elixirs. Instead, they teach patients to do the right things when it comes to food. There was a very important "discovery" some years ago and it won The Nobel Prize. That work was all about the concept of autophagy (auto=self) and phagy(eating). Hippocrates knew this thousands of years before because he was a genius.

Not everyone is comfortable looking for solutions within "self" and I get that, but ponder this. If a Doctor (and there is a growing band of these) advocates a plant-based diet he makes little if any money for the Medical profession.

Agree or not, it is worth thinking about...
