The poster was actually correct using 'hear hear' & not 'here here'.

Look it up. It comes from times past when a politician or some other public speaker would make a good point and the audience would clap
and shout "Hear him, Hear him." This was shortened through the years to the current "Hear, Hear."

Just sayin'. Give me a few minutes to put my crash helmet & body armour on before the haters respond.
