Black and yellow flying insect - not a wasp but what is it?

It could be a moth, a clear wing mimic moth looks just like a wasp or bee but on close inspection is clearly a moth, or it could be a hover fly, but these are so similar to wasps it’s hard to see the difference, take a photo and search the internet for a flying insect that is yellow and black but not a wasp or a bee, I’m sure you will find it in images.
