Presents fir poor children Rojales

Does anyone know who might be collecting toys for the poor children of Rojales for Christmas. A lady who can’t visit anymore has a collection of teddy bears to donate.

What a lovely thought, how kind, I don’t know of such a charity, if you find one and you donate them to a registered charity, please let me know which charity it is, so I can send a money donation to them.

Try the charity shop for children, think it's called butterflies
I've been there, think it's round the corner from Laguna hotel or by it, can't remember

There is an Orphanage in Elche who take toy donations. There used to be someone on here who was involved in it.

Strange you mention this as a friend of mine donated a lot of things to them recently. I genuinely didn’t believe that orphanages still existed bearing in mind how many people would like to adopt .Are there any orphanages in Ireland Bee? I’m not sure there are any here in the north. Perhaps I’m only fooling myself.

Stevie Spit does a lot of fundraising for Elche Children’s Home, and San Jose Obrero Orphanage, in Orihuela.
He was awarded a BEM a couple of years ago for children's charity work in Spain.
I believe there is an orphanage in Alicante as well, if it's still operating.
Agree with Chrisdee that Debra Charity Shop would be a good starting point, or Hamiltons Bakery as last year they were collecting shoebox packages that people donated made up with lots of small inexpensive gifts for Christmas so every child from their chosen charity had something to open on Christmas Day.

No R. Thankfully they are a thing of the past. They have left a terrible mark on those who were unfortunate enough to have been reared in them. It is hard to imagine the cruelty, abuse and lack of any kind of human kindness they suffered at the hands of our so called religious orders. Children are fostered nowadays.

The one in Elche is not an orphanage it is a home for children who may, for example, have come from a broken family, an abusive family or perhaps the parents are unable to look after them for one reason or another? The children can be there up until the age of 18. They are all very well looked after!
