Probably better to wait and get a cheap flight yourself to uk and buy one.

Sadly, there are no cheap flights anymore. Those days are over.
If you know someone coming over, perhaps they’d bring it with them. I was going to suggest using SEND MY BAG. You could ask your family to use an old suitcase and pack it in along with some old clothes to keep it safe and secure.
Check cost online.
I’ve booked our suitcase to go to London this weekend. It will be collected from my home and delivered to my daughter’s house and the same going back. Marvellous service.

Not sure I'd want to risk that with a brand new laptop inside.
Just add to my earlier reply, I used to look on ebay.es for stuff but it really hacked me off that there are so many items on offer from UK sellers and no way to filter them out so I've pretty much given up on that too.

Just got a 24 euro flight to Bournemouth in a couple of weeks time so there are plenty of cheap flights if you care to search around direct with the airlines

Just wait then until a family member can bring it over

Even less reason to trust it to a baggage forwarding service.
Read Sendmybags FAQs on Laptops and declaring bag contents.

I think with all the helpful comments to my question that I won’t risk it, plus the cost is prohibitive. So thanks to all, you’ve probably saved me a lot of worry.
