Hi - I see lots of people commenting re Firesticks. Excuse my ignorance...but what do you use it for? Can you watch other streaming services (with an account), like Netflix, BBC iplayer etc? We have a house in Spain, but do not live there permanently (yet!). Could I log into my prime UK account and watch amazon tv? Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't consider myself techie but the bones of it are: You need a Led/OLED Tv with a HDMI port in Spain with a good wifi speed either from your phone, a router with Sim or a turn on/ turn/ off internet provider then you plug the Firestick into the back of your tv and plug in either its own power supply or use the TV power supply. The Firestick comes loaded with all the usual apps for Youtube, Netflix, Prime etc but you can install your own apps like the BBC realplayer from the settings on the Firestick. Lots of people have spurious apps for IPTV(internet tv no dish or box needed) which they pay a yearly subscription around €100 and that gives you every TV, movie, Sports channels under the sun. Have the Firestick up and running before you travel to Spain by using it on your own TV at home to become familiar with it. Buy the Firestick 4 version with Alexa voice control and TV remote.

You would need a vpn on the stick to use your UK account fully in Spain. Prime Video etc.

You can use your prime account worldwide ,just check that the film you are going to watch can be converted to english if watching from abroad .

I used to use a stand alone firestick but last Christmas I purchased an IPTV package and the only time I use the firestick per se is to listen to R2 on Saturday mornings as my IPTV doesnt have R2
