Yes camionpilot it is not just Spanish drivers that use the gap to shoot through!

Put no heed in all the roundabout chat as your normal driving instincts will kick in and you won't even notice you have driven through or around one. You can get a T-shirt made up with "I drove round a Spanish roundabout and lived to tell the tale"

Correct, except were talking about roundabouts not main carriageways.
To make it easy for you draw a circle to represent the island of a roundabout then draw two more circles to represent two lanes of traffic going around it, colour them in if it helps, now tell us which is the INSIDE lane and which is the OUTSIDE.

Instructors on courses I've attended have stated that "inside" and "outside" are confusing and that "nearside" and "offside" should be used instead.Where there are multiple lanes,nearside counts as no.1.
Obviously nearside changes between Spain and the UK.
