Water filter reverse osmosis system

Water filter reverse osmosis system

Postby Steve and Jackie » Tue Jul 18, 2023 2:47 pm

Hi Can anyone recommend someone who can reinstall/repair a BBAGUA Home compact reverse osmosis system. Was working perfectly but had to be removed due to kitchen replacement and now doesn't work.
Cheers

I would get your kitchen fitter to fix it as it seems they may be responsible for stopping it working.

Apart from the filters not working anymore, most of them should be replaced annually and the carbon one every 5 years, there really isn´t much to go wrong. Check the pipework first. There should be a take-off from your cold water pipe that runs to the filter array. The direction of flow should be marked on each filter. From there it runs into a reservoir bottle and then it should be fitted to the tap for the filtered water. If you have a mixer tap there should be 3 connected pipes, hot, cold and filtered. If you can´t sort it yourself, any plumber should be able to do it.

Does the unit have an electric pump? Is it plugged in/switched on.

Some RO units have a booster pump to increase incoming water pressure. Ours only works with the pump powered up.
