Stray cats
Stray cats
by Tonbar » Mon Aug 07, 2023 4:50 pm
Our neighbours recently passed away. They used to feed stray cats. Now the mother and her two kittens are coming to us for food.
Obviously we cannot let them starve but at the same time we dont want to be feeding them twice a day. They are very nervous and run away when approached. The mother is protective of the kittens. They eat all the food we give them which is cat food. Any suggestions as to what we should do. Maybe someone has a cage we could take them to the rescue centre in Torrevieja.

Sorry, they will not be able to take them.
1.They have no room.
2 They can only take animals from the torrevieja area if
they even had room.
3. They can't take feral cats , as they probably never be
adopted.And could very well
spend the rest of their life in a cage.
I am so sorry...

I suppose the best you could hope for is spay, neuter and release but the kittens would have to be 4 months. I think someone said there was such a programme in the area. Was it Martin the Artist?

From the town hall:-
https://www.facebook.com/addaguardales/
If you are a person who feeds cats in this municipality, we help you to have the official card of cat feeder, we also help you to sterilize the cats of your street and your neighborhood.
The more people we are, the better served they will be, these little cats, who are treated so unfairly.
Take the step, and join the CES of Rojales.
