Express parking at Alicante airport

My husband has asked me to enquire if anyone knows anything about proposed express parking at the airport and if so, where will it be located. It can be difficult to find a parking spot in the multi story carpark nowadays so a new carpark would be welcomed.

Posted a while back but the new "express" parking will be for the collection of passengers on the arrivals floor. This will complement the drop off parking on departures which is already in operation.

10 minutes free to collect passengers the same as the current regulations on the drop off passengers floor. Two gates going in and two gates going out but not scheduled to be completed until July 2025 at the latest.

What a sensible plan. Wish they’d implement it a bit sooner.

I think it is in place now. It is on the bottom level. As you turn the corner there is a lane for car park, a lane for hire cars and a lane for Express parking. I have not used it but assume it is time limited. There are control barriers.

I think the express parking is currently the drop off area which people also use for picking up people. The new section will enable people to collect from the same level as they arrive.

It will take that long because the big poles holding up the floor will have to be replaced and new sections installed, extend the road and dismantle the car hire booths currently there as well as removing the garden area.

The contract stipulates it is to be operational no later than July 2025 so could be sooner.

Well the one I mentioned o the ground floor must be an interim measure as it has big signs up saying Express parking Not that big ,just a long row of parking.

Yes, it's an interim one with 23 spaces that was opened on the 4th August. It will be in place until the new arrivals collection point comes into operation on the arrivals floor. Murcia Today reported it.
