Hi my padrón runs out in January 2024 that’s 5 years.
Will they inform me? Or do I need to go around the mulberry bush to get another one?

You'll need to go round the mulberry bush whether they inform you or not! I don't know about Playa Flamenca, but in Quesada/Rojales it's very simple once you get there though. Just take your old padron and your TIE.
