Mercedes SLK - Help!! - UPDATE

Can anyone please recommend a reliable mechanic who can sort out the problems I have with the electrics and roof.

Vidama in Elche recommended by Steve are brilliant. All our problems were fixed and at less expense than Merc Dealers. Highly recommended.

I take it you have a problem with the electric roof operation.
Have you checked the fuses? It may be a silly question but it may be the cause.

Mercedes dealer? Main ones are in Torrevieja and Elche. Vegar Mercedes.
They just whang it on a machine and it shows the problem straight away.

My roof wasn't opening properly. Stopped about half way and then came up again. I found a bit of the fibre mechanism had frayed a little and was sticking out the side. Just pushed it back in and worked fine ever since.

Thank you both for your replies, was hoping to avoid the extortionate hourly rate charged by Mercedes in Torrevieja! The Merc has been in a garage already and came out in a worse state than it went in!
There is a garage behind Zoco market who say they specialise in car electrics, was hoping for a recommendation or otherwise!

Talk to Alan, auto electrician, he is a wizard! He will come to your house and sort it or tell you what the problem is! 638323499 .

The one behind Zoco Marley hasn't got a clue , i went there with my car and he came up with a solution , but I wasn't convinced with his answer to the problem, took it to the Citroen garage in Dolores and he knew exactly what the problem was , nothing to do with what the guy behind Zoco was saying , i know this doesn't help your problem but it might help steer people away from the other guy and save them money.
