Speeding Fine!

Just been informed by Linea Directa that I was speeding back in May and have been fined.

Q. How/where do I pay it?

Have tried on line but its a nightmare to prove I,m not a robot.

Thought the penalty notice should have gone to your home address? What's it saying when you tick not a robot?

Buggered if I know. Wants a password etcetera which I don,t have, and just keeps taking me back to the first page.

Perhaps it Knows that I identify myself as a Robot!

Remember that the DGT notifies its fines only through one of the following channels:


Postal mail (with subsequent delivery to the Edictal Board if we have not been able to locate you at your address).
Electronic notification through the DEV - Electronic Road Address .
If you receive a notice of a traffic ticket by email, it is a fraud. The DGT NEVER notifies its fines via email.

We recieved notice of a fine via our bank we tried everywhere to find out what it was for as not recieved anything through the post . In the end the money was taken from our account after so many days and we just had to swallow it . Can be very frustrating over here with this sort if thing . Hope you can get it sorted

Says on line that I can pay at a Caixa ATM, so will try that this evening.

Did phone 060 but too quick for my level of Spanish. Back to the drawing board.

How do you know what reference number to quote? Can Linea Direct a help, how do they know? All a bit confusing.

Think I also saw the post office can tell you of any fines you have, probably need log book.

Tell me about it. I had 600€ taken from my account . On enquiring why I was told it was a speeding fine 3 years ago. They didn't notify me even though the car was registered to me at our address. They soon found my bank details though.

What happened to the information that Marcliff put on this thread ?

I've just come back on to get the link he put on to check for possible fines.
