I live in the Campo outside of Dolores and Catral and am very lucky if I get any signal at all from Telfy or any provider and the nearest mast is onlt 500 metres away

I assume as the OP is referring to 'reception' they are asking about the mobile service rather than broadband. The service around Quesada in general is very 'hit and miss' and it depends where you live. Some spots are better than others and some seem to get hardly any coverage at all. Telfy uses the Orange network, but they told me they could also offer Movistar if necessary so that may be worth asking about. I use Finetwork which uses the Vodafone network, mainly because I got such a good deal at the time (€6,90 per mth, 10gb of data which rolls over if unused, unlimited calls, no contract). Movistar, Orange and Vodafone, in that order, have the best coverage in Spain so you are unlikely to get much better unfortunately. I've used Telfy for broadband for many years and would also absolutely recommend them for that, but mobile services are a bit 'trial and error' around here, whichever supplier you choose. You just have to settle on the best service for the area where you most use your phone. Reception at my UK house is also poor with EE, but they have wifi calling so it's manageable.
