As a former Bury lad I can vouch for Bury black puddings. I doubt you will find anything that comes close to the Bury ones sold on the famous Bury market.

Love French black pudding with apple or onions. Unfortunately you can not get it here. Also love andouille and andouillette (chidlings). Stocked up when we drove back through France from our holiday back to where we used to live.

Can you find it for sale in Spain, or have you had someone bring it over for you?

The Chop Shop, Essex Butchers and Tesco all sell it and I like the one at Essex butchers but you may have already tried it.

Spanish black pudding is not the same as the blood isn't drained so much. But a bit like asking you the best place to buy Serrano ham or chorizos in the Bacup area.

Different areas make them to local recipes and herbs etc vary, some add barley or oats or pig back fat,
I ve made them in the past,
Factory made black pudding uses dried
pasteurised pig or cows blood , so water is added to it during the manufacturing process, there's only home pig killers that might catch the blood for making there own puddings now,the times gone when local butchers uk&eu used to kill there own animals and catch the blood to make BPs its all EU controlled,
