Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Problem I have with Chinese food is the use of MSG in their cooking methods.
I've sometimes asked if used and some of them aren't even aware what it is or if it's used.

Yes i am aware that it's more likely than not in their food. I suppose I'm willingly ignorant every now again when i have a chinese. Just try to avoid it as much as possible in other dietary areas.

We really like Chinatown by the Laguna hotel. Eat as much as you like and order the dishes as you want. Really nice food. Not like some of the buffets that serve heavy, greasy slop.

If you like spicy, (Cantonese or Sichuan), try the sizzling dishes at Asia Jardin in San Luis. Run by a family, the husband is the chef, and the quality and flavour of their food is second to none. Interior decor is ok, but not the best, but the food and the good value is worth our regular visits. On the other hand, if you want an impressive restaurant, which is not too expensive, and serves good Chinese and Sushi, then the Restaurante Dinastia at Punta Prima is hard to beat.

Enjoy.

Thanks for all who replied. I've a few new ones to try out now over the coming months. La siesta is ok (provided you don't get served by the snotty cow), but they still use way too much salt, particularly in the curry.

What one has the snotty cow?
We use Gran Chino (Lisa) and they are normally very nice and friendly. Not been to the one opposite.
