Bumping posts

I realise that we are no longer allowed to ‘bump’ a previous post. However, when there is lots of activity on the forum, posts get pushed down and disappear very quickly, sometimes in a couple of hours!!

So if advertising an item for sale and it’s pushed off the forum a coupe of hours later, what is the solution to get your item seen for longer in order to include as many members as possible?

You just have to do it again.
You used to be able to bump once a day I think. Send Alec a pm and ask if he could reintroduce bumping but only the next day?

Yes I’ve tried that Chris but it’s a real pain if you have 3-4 photos in the post. They all have to be downloaded again

A seperate Buy and Sell section would solve the problem in a heartbeat!

Yes it’s quite strange. I tap on the buy and sell link to place the ad but the post appears in general discussion. Thought I might be doing something wrong initially.

The Buy and Sell heading is only useful if that's all you're interested in.

If, like most I would guess, you default to 'Active Topics' then buy and sell ads will appear there along with all other posts from other categories.

It wouldn't be a difficult problem to solve if the will were there.
