Was wondering if anyone could recommend an independent mortgage broker or where to go for the most competitive rates for a non resident

Strongly suggest you raise all your money back in U.K. if that’s where your from. Much easier to understand, no language barriers, no hidden extortionate fees for tourists, and if there ever is any discrepancies in months and years to come, you will understand it all and sort it out much easier.

Suggest maybe a remortgage at home, cheaper rates, and unless the lender tells you specific limitations on where you can spend the money, use that. Good luck anyway.
