I believe the RAC (UK) provide insurance for trips up to 90 days.

You could try speaking to an insurance company direct rather than going online to book or an insurance broker who may be able to find a specialist insurance company that give 180 days cover.

Why not buy an annual insurance policy.

I always buy an annual policy. The two main issues are:
1 To get cover for 90 days or more, if possible.

2 Not to pay for cover I don’t need, such as flight cancellation; I’ve missed one flight on 50 years and that was because the M5 was blocked, I don’t need baggage cover etc. Just emergency health cover.

You can negotiate specific exclusions and additions into the policy. I did at Rigtmove.
