Would you allow a surgeon to operate on you without a mask? They wear them as a physical barrier between bacteria and an open wound. Yes there is controversy on whether they are effective or not but they are still mandatory.

If the conspiraloons could leave this alone for a bit and just refer to the original question.

The flu and covid vaccines will start on October 16th in nursing homes. The age limit has been reduced to 60 instead of 65.

This is a new one, the at risk groups will now also include smokers.
