When you do a scan for available channels, are there any other search options available to you such as transponder search? If so, you can visit this site for the appropriate transponder(s) -

I would also suggest, if you have the option, to also restrict your search to Free to Air (FTA) Channels in the hope that you can avoid pulling in the encrypted channels to minimise numbers. A further issue I would investigate is what your location is set to within settings.
