Might be silly question but if you’ve had heart issues treated privately (Quiron) do the licensing authorities (DGT) and businesses like Clinca Siesta have access to this medical info?

Clearly I know these things should be disclosed but how would they know about this unless you informed them? Do they have access to your SIP / Salud medical information?

Personally I'd very much prefer if those with known health issues which could potentially compromise their ability to drive safely would be completely truthful when renewing their licences!

iant Sorry i beg to differ,the guy who does the ring thing test keeps every letter i have from my doctor as all are dated etc.

Private hospitals can access patients health records by way of their SIP cards, I know this from my friend who is in the Quiron hospital at this moment and was asked for her SIP card in order to do just that.
