Home visit computer repairs

Is there anyone who does home visits to sort out computer issues?
My computer has fallen out with the printer and they are on no speaks.
I have tried uninstalling the printer software but the procedure gets stuck and will not complete the uninstall.

Try with a usb lead

I know Richard from Blue Moon computers does come to ur home but I don't have his number. Try to search on this forum, maybe someone has shared the tel. number before.

Thanks for the suggestions. In fact it is already connected by usb.

I spent hours yesterday trying to get the printer working and in the end gave up. There was a Windows update pending, so I so I set that to update and then power off.

Had an "I don't belieeeve it" moment this morning. I found on the floor underneath the printer all the various pages I had been trying to print yesterday.

If only! It seems to think it is a fax machine at the moment.
I think the problem probably lies with the computer. It is old, slow and creaky (like it's owner) and will not be compatible with Windows 11.
So it's getting the heave-ho.
If the printer cannot be made to work with the new laptop then it will be a new printer as well. That will be annoying as I have just filled it up with ink at vast expense.

I sometimes use computers that are well over 10 years old and never have a problem using a printer with them
