Cataract treatment

My wife has been told she has cataracts on both eyes.We are thinking to go to Quiron for treatment. Has anyone had that treatment there or any other recommendation. Many Thanks.

If your optician has told you that if you go to your doctor he/she can put you down for Torrevieja hospital if not urgent. Both my husband and I have had both eyes done there and they were marvelous. You obviously don't get both eyes done on the same day. My husband has also had both knees replaced and went to Quiron for the first and Torre for the second and much preferred the treatment at Torre.

Hi...if you are resident and on the Health system then you need to go to your appointed Doctor. The Doctor will send you to the Eye clinic in Torrevieja as a first step. This clinic is located in Calle Patricio Perez and is the preliminary centre that makes an assessment as to the urgency or otherwise of your Cataract condition...in general they(cataracts) have to be mature (ripe) before they are operated on...if treatment is required then an appointment is made for attendance at Torrevieja hospital . The treatment is routine and painless and has marvellous results. Good luck and stay healthy. This is my experience as I worked my way through the system.

I had both eyes operated on at Torrevieja hospital. Could not fault the treatment there.
