water bills

just received my latest water bill (3 months )
used 2 m2 : cost 42.44 eur

last bill
used 3 m2 : cost 26.09 eur

have other members seen a near 90% increase
cannot get into client area, so looks as though i will have to make an appointment

The sanitation levy is the tax resource that allows the sustainability of the water treatment and reuse system in the Valencian Community.
WHAT WAS THE SANITATION LEVY DEFERMENT?

The invoices issued from August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023 do not include this fee, since the Generalitat Valenciana deferred the payment of the Sanitation Fee during those 12 months , according to the DECREE LAW 6/2022, of July 8, and the DECREE LAW 19/2022, of December 30 of the Consell.
WHAT IS THE SANITATION LEVY REGULARISATION?

At the end of the deferral period, the amount of the Canon not paid during the twelve months of deferral is being included in identical installments without interest during the following 36 months , according to the DECREE LAW 11/2023, of September 29th of the Consell .
WHERE CAN YOU SEE THE DEFERRED AMOUNTS?

You will find the amount of each deferred instalment on your invoices issued on or after August 1. The instalments will be included in each invoice issued during the 36 months following September 30th, grouped according to the billing periods of your contract (monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, etc.).

Basically, giving you a discount due to the financial crisis but then taking it back off you now that you are all rich again.

Hmmm, €2.09/m3 and that's without any standing charges.

Which is what mine was but then they added the deferment change to regain the sanitation and sewage charges.

Maybe her bill was issued before they started doing it but I'm sure they'll get round to doing it.
