An excellent Spanish restaurant called Manola 1969 is on the CV895 a short distance from Quesada on road to Guadamar . Certainly not a "Romantic " place to dine, but a very busy and popular place with a large choice of dishes. Service is fairly slow but meals are well worth the wait. For sure, you need to have a very good appetite ! Worth going to just for the fresh warm bread and powerful Aioli !!
Cheers

We always go to Rodero in Guardamar for a paella. Also this last week had a really lovely menu del dia at Sideria Asturias in Guardamar.

Not been to Manolo's for years, we found the quality of the food to be very hit & miss, the chicken was burnt to a crisp on one visit & the next time still had blood coming from it. We can't understand how it's so popular.

Hi, elchedave... Sorry to hear about that.. Might it be possible, as you have not been there for years, that it has changed hands, or new chefs etc ? We certainly had an excellent Menu there on our last recent visit, and even had to wait about 20 mins for a table it was so popular !
Cheers

I agree with Martin the Artist - El Resspiro (close to the caves in Rojales) is fantastic. You have to book and I believe it is closed for holidays for a short time.
