Wheelchair Assistance Alicante Airport

I use it everyone I fly now being 80 and I get out of breathe. Straight to assistance desk, black and yellow, show boarding card, told to sit and wait, you won't be forgotten. I ask to be left near a coffee shop near the gate always obliging. My granddaughters in Holland so go several times. My hubby going with me Thurs and although had major op wont go in wheelchair but will still come on first with me and through easy customs at back. In Holland picked up in wheelchair then both go on little 'bus' and I give a Queen wave as we pass all the passengers.

Yes we use it for our Mums when they fly out being in there 80's and 90's and always very good service , and if you cannot manage stairs make sure you tick the lift on and off requirement. Because Easyjets steps ate not to bad but Ryanairs steps that fold back into the aircraft are more narrow. Better to wait for 5 minutes more than have an accident.

Thank you Darro and Wingnut. Babsie I like your style Bertie and Gerty thanks for the tip but she is fine with the stairs. It's only the long walk that's the problem.

We did have one occasion where they were very busy and we wished we had allowed ourselves more time, so be early.

Yes Pensionista I saw a recommendation to arrive at pick-up point 2.5hrs before your flight and hopefully beginning of December will be quiet.

Five star service at Alicante last year arriving from Dublin with a broken foot. The Ryanair and Alicante assistance staff could not have been more patient and helpful!

Hi, I agree with Paul. I had assistance at Alicante last week. Brilliant. Look for the bright yellow sign Assistance and they do everything. Check you in, arrange wheelchair everything to your flight. Service brilliant and its all free. Book it when you book your flight. I flew Easyjet too. Bobbyboo

Thank you Ger and Bobbyboo. I hope the foot has mended Ger. The Forum is great for all the accumulated practical knowledge of the members. Long may it last.
