The link by billytheboy60 can be checked to see if they have it in your name but not until after 1st Jan. It will also show you if the tax has been taken which is normally between March and May, the same time as your bin tax is taken.

Don't rely on getting it through the mail as it can be hit and miss! You can do it online but as it's your first one I suggest you call into a Suma office to get your reference and if you are resident you can set up Direct Debit. It's not actually due until April so you have plenty of time.
