It was caused by two British eurofighter typhoon aircraft.

Eurofighter breaking the sound barrier - expect it again over next few days too!
We can confirm that those two powerful noises that have been heard this afternoon were due to the breaking of the sound barrier by a Eurofighter aircraft that has flown over our area.
That's what the Flightradar website says right now.
Update: Apparently these flights are scheduled for November 21-30 in the afternoon and could rebound over the province of Alicante.

Just out of interest, why was it RAF typhoons and not Spanish? Is it part of a Nato thing or something?

But the one that caused the sonic boom today was the Royal Air Force
"A group of meteorology enthusiasts from Torrevieja refer to the data recorded by the ‘Flight Radar’ portal, which records all the flights currently flying through the airspace. Around the time the alleged ‘explosion’ occurred, around 5:30 p.m., a Eurofighter Typhoon FG4 of the British Royal Air Force was flying through the area south of Alicante."
According to the radar, the plane left an air base in the province of Albacete. From there it crossed the Segura mountain range through Riópar to enter the Region of Murcia through the high districts of Lorca, where it has made several turns on itself. Subsequently, it crossed over several cities in the Region of Murcia and Orihuela.
The last ‘stopover’ was on the coast of Vega Baja, where it made many other turns in front of Torrevieja, Orihuela Costa, Pilar de la Horadada and San Pedro del Pinatar, before then returning to its base in Albacete.
The bangs were nothing to worry about and were the result of a Royal Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon, flight code SHARK034, registration ZK331, breaking the sound barrier whilst flying on exercises across the region.

Just showing off,then ?
A short time ago back in the UK there were 2 sonic booms near my yorkshire home which intrigued the locals.Apparently it was 2 RAF jets racing to intercept a passenger aircraft which was off route and failed to respond to air traffic control.

Euro fighter,keeping them warmed up,
Imminent war situation,
Israel,Palastine,
Ukraine , Putins country,
Won't say Russia,
Not that any jet fighter would serve any purpose against a nuclear attack,
Just trying to show governments Europe is prepared,

Not really but we are coming up with some awe inspiring conspiracies lately.
"The Tactical Leadership Programme (TLP) runs from Albacete airfield several times a year. It is attended by pilots from 11 allied nations where they hone their skills and share their experiences of tactics and manoeuvres.
These courses and training were set up in 1978 and held in Germany to start with and moved to Belgium in 1989 and moved to Albacete in 2009 due to the favourable met conditions and a new, 500 bed lodge to accommodate visiting pilots."
So ease your twitchy bottoms. It's been going on a long time.
