Need help translating Spanish text I’ve received

It sounds like a scam to me if you haven't received anything on email or by post I would delete it because if it's important they will contact you by other means.

Do you recognise who the text is from? Don't click on anything if you don't.

It must have said what the document was that needed renewing. Could be your bank if your ID doc (passport etc) is running out, one of your electronic clave documents or some such or even, if not resident, your 2 yearly non resident certificate for banking.

Just putting your certificate needs renewing doesn't give many hints as to what it is.

Hi...it actually says it's your NIE/NIF...there is a Translate to English section on the message.

Did you request a current copy of your NIE/NIF for anything lately? Why would Policia Nacional/Extranjeria have your mobile number? Your NIE/NIF number never changes so doesn't get "renewed" It is a scam.
