Thanks D, is it a long process and approximately how much would it cost ?
He lives in Ireland and would probably not be able to get over to Spain to sign papers etc so would need the company to do all the work on his behalf

Is the apartment on an urbanisation as this needs to go via an AGM as can cause residents problems with air bnb type lets.

Check the size of the bathroom to see if it complies before going any further and he wastes his time and money , also some areas and communities do not allow letting .

Before you do anything take some measurements of your apartment. You have to have these minimum measurements for a standard apartment licence:

Bathroom 4.5sq mtrs
Kitchen 5.0sq mtrs
Lounge 14sq mtrs
Main bedroom 10sq mtrs
Double room 8sq mtrs
Single room 6sq mtrs

If 4th Floor or above must have a lift.

Look at these 3 videos from Dave Bevan of Spanish Dream Property.

Spanish Solutions La Zenia do the licence also. Might be worth giving them a call.
