Rock music in Rojales Saturday night
Rock music in Rojales Saturday night

Morning All
Anyone know source of the music belting out till 01:00 this morning? We could hear it clearly in Ave Del Recorral and appeared to be coming from La Marquesa direction but difficult to be sure. Assume was a live heavy rock band playing way too loud !
Maybe if they played better I wouldn't object so much !

Part of the Christmas Festival in Rojales. The band were playing by the Town Hall and we could hear it because of the wind direction.

We're in Spain, it's their festival.
We live in a predominantly Spanish village and have the occaisional "music" festival nearby. We usually go and join in but sometimes it goes on 'til around 3/4 in the morning. Earplugs and a live & let live attitude works wonders

Appreciate the information that music was part of local Festival .
The rest of response appears to be irrelevant to my question so I'll choose to ignore it rather than comment further . Thank you

Yes we choose to live in a predominantly Spanish town ,and of course we must be aware of the Spanish culture of partying and having festivities which quite often go on until the early hours of the mornings.
But in the same vain ,the businesses that other nationalities frequently visit for their choices of entertainment are frequently closed down early or lose their licences altogether, with visits from the Local police.
These businesses and other nationalities bring income and taxes into the area, and on the whole are welcomed because of this ,so why are their places of entertainment targeted by the authorities ?

Because the festivals are organised and run by the council,
Who in turn issues the licences,
Police and council work together ,
So it's a win win for any organised council activity with music etc,

It was the band Situación Limité playing at the Rojales Christmas market...
They were supposed to start at 9.30 & I would have assumed they would have stopped earlier but continued due to demand.
And I agree far too loud, we could clearly hear it with doors & windows fully closed and we live almost a mile away!

In other news the Jazz band who were on earlier were excellent wasn't expecting so many musicians belting out tunes.
