They were a bit early in announcing the tax changes and had a meeting yesterday.
IVA on electricity will rise from 5% to 10% as from Jan 1st so they didn't put the entire 21% back on it although they did agree on progressive rises until it goes back up.

The electricity tax of 0.5% instead of 5% will continue for another year and the tax on electricity production is suspended (I think that's about a third of a cent a day).

Not as bad as predicted.

Other tax rises and cuts were also announced. The elimination of 4% VAT on staple foods, such as bread, flour, milk and eggs, will continue until June and the lowered IVA on oil and pasta will continue to be reduced from 10% to 5% until the same time.
