Painting inside our new holiday home.

Painting inside our new holiday home.

Driving down early January to paint the inside of our new holiday home. Is best I fetch the paint and equipment with me or is it just the same price to buy in Quesada ?
Does anybody have a rough estimate how much a decorator would charge for a two bedroom one bathroom townhouse in Dona Pepa

Hi don't think you need to bring anything over unless you've got really good quality equipment at home and you want to do it yourself then you can get it easily over here, if you want a professional decorator expect to pay between €18.00/€25.00 per hour hope this will help.

The paint you buy locally is more suitable to combat the damp/humidity problems that you find inside Spanish houses. But paint is more expensive to buy here.
The staff in the ferreteria in Lo Marabu are very helpful and speak perfect English. For paint see James at Quesada Colours.

If you decide to do it yourself and you've used paint pads and like them bring those over as you can't get them here. Buy your paint locally from a proper paint shop and get one that's got anti mould in it or buy the additive to add it in one that hasnt got it in it. There are many good painters that get recommended on here so get a few quotes if that's the route you decide to take.
